FITTING GUIDE

Finding a shoe that fits perfectly can be difficult, it is common for brands to make their shoes following different methods and measurements.

We recommend that you pick your size of ATS based on your foot measurements.

Measurements

ATS are engineered to be worn without socks, to prevent chafing or blisters, our lining is smooth and soft on the feet, and we have removed as much internal stitching as possible.

But finding the right fit isn't always easy, so please use our guidelines below to correctly measure your feet - length, width and instep girth can be found on our size chart.

How to Measure

How to Measure Your Foot Size

Measuring your feet in the morning can have different results to measuring them in the evening.

ATS are made to be worn without socks, but if you prefer to wear socks then your feet measurements should be taken with socks on.

Below we have compiled an easy to follow set of tips showing the correct way to measure your feet.

  • Tape a piece of paper to a hard floor, ensuring the paper doesn’t slip.

  • Stand with one foot on the paper and a slight bend in your knees. You can also sit in a chair, but make sure your feet are firmly flat on the ground.

  • With a pen or pencil pointed straight down, trace the outline of your foot on the paper, this will allow you to make various measurements later. If possible, ask someone to help you with this.

Measuring Foot Length

  • Mark the tip of the big toe and the outermost part of the heel and measure the distance between with a ruler or measuring tape to find the length measurement of your feet.

  • Mark the widest points of your forefoot and measure the distance between to find your foot width.

Measuring Foot Width

  • If you have drawn around the outside of your foot to make a footprint shape, measure across the forepart or "ball" of your foot to get the width measurement.

  • This will help determine if you will benefit from wide fitting shoes.

Measuring Instep Girth

  • In order to get a full measurement of the feet and the best fit possible, we advise you measure your instep.

  • This is the middle area of your foot, in-between the ball and heel.

  • In order to get an accurate instep size, it is necessary to measure the circumference of the foot, this is known as the instep girth.

  • For this you will need to use a tape measure.

How to Find Your Shoe Size

  • Now that you’ve measured your foot size, you can compare the measurements against our size chart to find your optimal shoe sizing.

  • Remember that different brands will have different measurements, so please refer specifically to our size chart for fitting your ATS.
